“Thanks Anne so much – you really are inspiring. I loved the day and got a lot out of it. I will send you a picture of the next bit when I am done. I had the best time and I am really looking forward to your report. I have already grouped a few plants differently and created a big mess! Have a great day.” – Elizabeth

“Thanks so much Anne. You made such difference in a few short hours. Can’t wait to see how this works out!” – Tracey

“Thank you very much for such a wonderful report. We are still trying to digest it, plenty of other things happening in our life too. The aspects we found most beneficial were your advice, personal attention, report and action plan, pre-visit questionnaire, planting pack gift and inspiration/ideas/solutions. Very likely to book another consultation, and recommend to others. We think you provide a wonderful service.” – Lois & Daryl Wilton

“My neighbours are jealous now I’m making my garden so beautiful and productive. Your help has been invaluable. I am getting so much pleasure from my small yard. Sending pics soon. Thanks.” – Jane

“Our family is really enjoying our backyard now and excited to grow food instead of lawn. You really helped us solve so many problems and saved us wasting money making more mistakes. Best of all we are spending more time outside together as a family. That’s priceless. Thanks so much.” – Mark & Jen

“The report and action plan are great. Loved this extra personalised help to colour in the details after your visit. We really enjoyed the day and can’t wait to put all your ideas into practice.” – Judy and family

“My balcony has food growing and I haven’t killed anything since you helped me! It’s only a few herbs so far but that’s success for me and I’m planning my salad bar next. Awesome help and great fun. Thank you Anne.” – Marg

“I asked Anne to help me because I was feeling frustrated and overwhelmed about my garden instead of calm and nurtured by time spent outdoors. My garden seemed to represent endless decisions that I wasn’t equipped to make and endless jobs that I didn’t have time to finish off. I had big plans and high expectations, but seemed to be taking three steps backwards for every one step ahead. The garden was getting me down – and that felt wrong.

The first stage in the garden consult process was to complete Anne’s friendly yet comprehensive questionnaire. It prompted me to think carefully about my priorities for the garden, my available resources (skills, water, time, budget, assistance, materials onsite, animals etc) and my goals (edibles, ornamentals, aesthetic vision, use of natives etc). It was great to get it all down on paper. I felt that all the factors that were overwhelming me were captured in one place so that they could begin to be addressed.

The second stage was Anne’s visit to the garden. I could see that she had read my questionnaire carefully and already had lots of ideas for how to simplify my approach and streamline my efforts to avoid ‘busy’ work that takes energy but doesn’t necessarily show results. We spent several hours chatting as we walked and sat in different parts of the garden. Anne took some photos, and answered all my questions. It was a really enjoyable afternoon in itself.

The Report I received several days later was amazing: pages of text, clear images, helpful summary tables and annotated photographs from my garden, with all the material clearly structured, thorough and professionally presented. The Report summarised my goals and resources and recommended design solutions. It included resource lists, an action plan and inspirational ideas appropriate for my garden. It was easy for me to pick and choose from among the suggestions for the little projects I most wanted to start. The illustrations helped me to ’see’ how each project would come together. The Report is constantly available for me to refer back to, and I can look for further detail on lots of the ideas by searching on themicrogardener.com. And I know that I can contact Anne with any questions by phone or email if I want to.

About 6 months after the consult, I’m feeling much happier in my garden. These days I focus on my VIPs (Very Important Plants) and get great satisfaction from each session outside. I’ve learned a lot about patience and what I can learn from the plants. I know how to use my limited time wisely and how to reduce the strain on my back. For me, gardening is becoming a journey rather than a destination – and that feels right.

I would recommend Anne’s garden consultation service to any gardener who feels there’s ‘too much to do and too little time’.” – Alison

    Excellent Service and Value!

I asked Anne to assist with a complete overhaul of my yard and garden since I’m about to build a detached home office and need the space to look welcoming and beautiful, whilst continuing to provide edibles. Even before she arrived, Anne provided valuable advice that saved me making mistakes from the outset. She spent an extended period of time with me, sent a very detailed report, and has been available to answer all of my questions since. I fully intend to engage Anne during each stage of my garden development, and probably on an ongoing basis. Anne’s service is excellent and certainly value for money.

    Holistic and Educational

Anne has a very holistic approach, and spent the time to explain the fundamental elements that will allow us to create a rich and sustainable ecosystem to support our garden. Anne was horrified to see a trailer load of Organic Matter ready to be disposed, and put her foot down! As a result it was rescued and we now see value in it all.

Thanks for the opportunity to help co-create your garden Lloyd. It was a pleasure helping you see the opportunities your property offers as you incorporate new elements into your design. So excited to see your front garden become an abundant and beautiful area filled with food, providing more shade and beauty. With the systems you are implementing, it won’t be long before the back garden is incredibly productive with more fruit and vegetables as well as your own supplies to continually feed your garden for free. Looking forward to progress photos and watching it grow.
