My husband set up a live garden coaching session with Anne as a surprise for my birthday. Anne asked questions prior to the session and was so prepared she managed to pack a ton into the half hour. I’m a newbie grappling with my first garden, so Anne peppered her explanations with easy-to-grasp analogies and practical advice for first steps for beginning gardener. The phone consultation with Anne went “way and beyond”. Anne is a font of knowledge, and very generously shares what she knows. I’m rather a gardening dummy, but by the end of the consultation, I felt so much more confident about my autumn garden planting, as well as having some good ideas for next season’s planting.
Even though I live in a very different climate to Anne, she was able to advise me on what best suited my conditions. I will certainly be using her consultation services again.

Anne asked me to send photos and some info on the garden, and on my 30 minute call she already had plenty of notes prepared so the time could be used incredibly effectively. Then following the call I received a detailed summary and plenty of notes. Thank you so much, Anne. That gave me a much clearer direction. I’ll start working through the list. Once I get these beds sorted the next step will be the raised beds and more fruit trees. It will all happen in time. We will start gathering the cow manure to add with the llama’s contributions and we will get some horse manure from Lex. I’ve started a new lab brew and our other mate who lives here Ian is going to bring me some stinging nettle to start a tea with that. He said not to worry about growing any, we have heaps. He is the one who did the llama and comfrey tea which is ready to use now. We are feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful place to work on but also the collaborators and resources at our finger tips here. I’ll be back in touch before we do the raised gardens, need to make sure I orient them correctly and I want to build them so that its easy to net or trellis as needed.
